Attendance and Commitment
My goal is for every patient to achieve meaningful change. In the event that my practice does not provide the right type or level of support, I will help you find a better fit.
For treatment to be effective, patients and families must maintain regular attendance and follow treatment recommendations. If you or your family member does not make progress in treatment, or experience challenges attending sessions regularly or following treatment recommendations, I will provide you with referrals so that you can obtain more appropriate treatment and support.
If you are no longer an active patient but would like to schedule additional appointments, you may request one.
Cancellation
Please make every effort to provide at least 24-hours’ notice by email or phone if you are unable to attend your appointment. The full cost of the session will be charged in the event of a missed appointment or late cancellation (within 24 hours). I may waive the late cancellation fee in the event of an unavoidable absence, such as inclement weather, family emergency, or illness. If you arrive late to a session, I may still end the appointment at the scheduled time and charge the full cost for the scheduled appointment length.
I will similarly make every effort to attend scheduled appointments and will provide advanced notice, whenever possible, if there are needed changes to your schedule.
Privacy
I take patient privacy seriously and will discuss my policies with you and provide additional documentation of them.
Please note that e-mail and other electronic communications pose a risk to your privacy. I recommend that you communicate with me by phone or in person whenever possible.
Emergencies
Please note, I am not a crisis provider and I do not provide crisis service. If this is an emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
